Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry South Africa (Free State) is a unified chamber for all youth in business in South Africa formed according to the Youth Enterprise Development Strategy (YEDS 2013 – 2023) and facilitated to formation by the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) on 17th July 2014, Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre, Benoni, Gauteng Province in response to the process funded and facilitated by the Department of Trade and Industry (The DTI) in a prospect to unite all young people in Business to respond to challenges facing youth in business also to be well positioned to respond other Socio – Economic Challenges such as unemployment, poor economic growth.
The Free State version of Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry (YCCI SA FS) was launched on the 11th of July 2014, In Parys, Mimosa Mall, supported and funded by Treasury Free State, Department of Economic Development and Small Business Development (Destea), Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, Ngwathe Municipality and Fezile Dabi District Municipality. The formation of the Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry Free State (YCCI SA FS) meant that youth business in Free State finally has face and a credible voice to advance interests of youth in business across the province
“working together to ignite, drive and maximise enterprising spirit amongst youth and to bring both private sector and public sector together to advance the youth enterprise development agenda; in the process ensuring practical support for youth business in 5 corners of the province in order to contribute to the economic growth of the Free State and the entire country”
“to advocate for youth business in the Province and to continue engaging stakeholders in both private and public sector in order to ensure that a process of maximising a number of youth entering main stream of business in the province jointly satisfied by all stakeholders including the chamber itself”
The Mandate of Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry Free State is to unite all youth in business as provided by the Youth Enterprise Development Strategy (YEDS 2013 – 2023) despite sex, religion, race and political affiliation, YCCISA FS is not politically aligned structure but is it working in unison and support the current government, its programmes, activities a. YCCISA FS commits itself to the total entrepreneurship development, economic transform and it is lobbying for inclusion youth in all the platforms where decisions are made.
